As composer he has been commissioned by major artists and organisations, including singer Janet Baker, harpsichordist George Malcolm, guitarist Julian Bream, The London Symphony Orchestra and The Aldeburgh and Bath Music Festivals. As record producer and engineer he has worked with such artists as Peter Gabriel, XTC, Tears For Fears, Icehouse, Echo And The Bunnymen, Jean Michel Jarre, The Korgis and numerous others. As arranger and orchestrator he has scored many TV projects, including (for composer David Ferguson) the Cracker and Inspector Rebus series, as well as preparing string arrangements for, among others, Barbra Dickson, Tori Amos and The Pretenders. As teacher he has been in charge of music at The University Of Bath and The Laban Art Of Movement Centre, London, as well as producing schools music programmes for BBC Radio and lecturing at Bath Spa University. Crescent Recording Studio in Bath grew from being his home studio into an internationally renowned facility used by many top ranking artists and record labels in the 1980s and 90s. |
